Miss Oyindamola Saka Bashirat has revealed how her Boss had used her and other co- workers for Seven months without paying and finally dumbing them.
Miss Oyindamola who expressed her bitterness of the development explained that she was hired by KUADA KITCHEN
. She is to be paid N31,000 monthly (Basic Salary and Transport allowance) Miss Oyindamola accepted the offer
On 20th Of June, she claimed to have received her first salary of Twenty Five thousand Naira in cash as well as her transport allowance. The following month was to be different as she wasn’t paid. She was told by her Boss that she had just acquired another new spot somewhere in Unilag hence her reason why she can’t pay for the month. The following month (August) came knocking, Five new staff were recruited to work for her but it was still the same story of no funds. This time, she claimed she was scammed and the spot she got in Unilag was an illegal acquirement and assured them of paying everything together the next month and as such, she continued working. With high expectations in September, her hope was dashed again, together with other workers. At the end Of September, she fell sick and she was diagnosed to have Typhoid as a result of stress. This prompted her mother to make efforts to see how she can get the salary her daughter was owed but all to no avail. By early October, she and other co workers were asked to stop coming to work for a while. After a week, a whatsapp message was sent to her and other co workers requesting that they resuming work and their money was to be paid.
On Monday when she got to work, she was paid a meagre N6250 out of the total N86760 salary of 3 months and Transportation allowance she was to being owed.
In the beginning of November, the went for an outdoor event, which according to her offer letter, she were to be paid an addition income asides the monthly pay. She was promised to be paid N3000 but after the outing, she was paid N900! This made Oyindamola to confront her and what she got back was insults. In her state of hopelessness, she had to collect the N900 at a time there were only 3 people left working for her.
The aftermath of that was Chiagozie Ogboona the owner of KUADA Kitchen moving the business out of the present location to an unknown location.
