Fast rising Musical act Deola Taylor speaks with Samagbeyi Folasade in a short chat about his music and how he gets his inspiration.
My Can we meet you ?
I go by the name Deola Taylor and I'm from Ondo City. You can call me Young daddy tasty.
Young Daddy Tasty? What does that even mean?
I am just a young daddy with the taste. In other words, with the tasty vibes.
My research shows you're an artiste; a very hot one at that.
Artiste? Yes. I don't think I'm aware of the 'hot' part.
You make a career out of it, or you are doing music just for fun ?
Are you sure you did your research well? Because, if you do, you should have the answer. But for the records it's not just a career. its my way of life. Thank you ma!
How do you get your inspirations ?
From everything my eyes can behold and everything my mind can reach. Sometimes life, sometimes imagination. The clearer the vision, the more i see! The more i train my mind, the farther it can travel.
Like I tell anyone who cares to listen, I am a work in progress, I really want to grow.
So who are the people you look up to in the industry
I don't think i have one in particular. I only respect and admire the way some senior colleagues create, interpret and deliver their music.
Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years music wise?
Obviously I'm going to be better than who I am now. There is nothing magical. I believe with hard work, consistency and peaceful grace, the growth should be fast and far. Like i tell anyone who cares to listen, i am a work in progress, i really want to grow.
That sounds Interesting. We at Ataaoja also believe in you, and we look forward to seeing you win awards such as headies, and even Grammy. Thanks for your time.
